The amount of deposits in Montenegrin banks decreased by 4.5%

The total amount of deposits in commercial banks in Montenegro at the end of May 2020 was 3 billion 299 million euros, the country's central bank reports. This amount is 153 million euros or 4.5% less than at the beginning of the year 2020. Experts attribute this to the situation with coronavirus in the world. The amount of deposits in banks has been gradually declining since the beginning of 2020, the strongest drop was recorded in March at 2.5%.
