NATO announced the activation of Russian submarines in the Atlantic
Russia has stepped up submarine operations in parts of the Atlantic Ocean, which leaves NATO warships and important US infrastructure vulnerable, The Wall Street Journal writes on July 2, citing representatives of the alliance and military analysts. According to sources, 10 Russian submarines were moved from permanent locations towards the North Atlantic. Experts called such activity the largest doctrine since the Cold War.
