Named the number of DPRK residents who passed tests for SARS-CoV-2
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 1,200 DPRK citizens have passed tests for coronavirus. This was reported by Radio Free Asia with reference to the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Pyongyang, Edwin Salvador. According to him, today about 700 people are in quarantine, all of them are employees of the port of Nampho in the Yellow Sea and the free economic zone of Dandong Siniju near the border with China. It is known that between July 9 and 16, the number of people who passed the coronavirus test increased by 100 people, and the number quarantined by 86 people. The representative of WHO noted that the increase in the number of people tested was likely due to the aggravation of the situation in China. In this regard, the DPRK strengthened epidemiological control on the border with the Middle Kingdom.
