South Korea's export volume index increased by 10.6%

In March 2020, South Korea's physical exports index was 122.78 points, an increase of 10.6% year-on-year. This is reported by Yonhap News with reference to representatives of the Bank of Korea. It is known that in December last year the indicator increased by 7.7%, in January fell by 3.5%, in February again increased by 11.4%. Experts note that despite the spread of coronavirus the volume of exports of semiconductors, optical and electronic devices increased by 15.2%, chemical products (including cosmetics and pharmaceuticals) by 11.2%. The index of physical volume of imports increased by 1.5%, to 116.71 points. According to the news agency, between April 1 and 20, 2020 exports of goods from South Korea decreased by 26.9%, to 21.72 billion.
