Mohsen Rezai, secretary of the Iranian Efficiency Council and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said the United States could break up into several states after the coronavirus crisis ends. He added that the high costs of a barren build-up of U.S. military power elsewhere, Washington's inefficiency and state distrust of the federal government act like a time bomb. According to him, the US could turn into Commonwealth states in a post-coronavirus world.
