The Chinese city of Yantai refused to accept 110 tons of overseas garbage
The customs of Yantai, Shandong province in eastern China, refused to accept 110 tons of foreign solid waste, Xinhua News Agency reported on September 3. According to Yantai customs, two shipments of regenerated PVC particles were declared at the customs of one of the local companies. After the inspection of the goods, it was found that this is nothing more than solid waste, which is prohibited for import into the country. All 110 tons of garbage will be sent to where they came from. Yantai customs refused to accept from January to July of this year a total of four batches of solid waste with a total weight of 270 tons.
