In one of the doping tests, ex-biathlete Zaitseva found her husband's DNA

Male DNA was found in a doping test of Russian ex-biathlete Olga Zaitseva. This was reported on July 5 by the German publication Der Spiegel. It is clarified that this doping test was taken from the athlete in October 2014 and later the results of the analysis of this sample were presented by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in court in the Zaitseva case, as IOC investigators considered the results of the sample analysis as evidence of fraud. At the same time, according to forensic medical data, male DNA belongs to Zaitseva's wife, Russian biathlon team service officer Pyotr Trifonov, which indicates that, perhaps, the couple had an intimate relationship before the athlete passed the doping test. What do you think it's like to tell your husband that there's male DNA in your urine? This story could have destroyed my family, the German publication quotes Zaitseva. The athlete also said that at that time she and her husband tried to have a child. Recall, as the news agency reported, earlier the IOC commission, which was created after the statements of the ex-head of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory Grigory Rodchenkov about the doping program allegedly existing in Russia at the state level, deprived Zaitseva, Olga Vilukhina and Yana Romanova of silver medals OI-2014 in the relay, finding them guilty of violating anti-doping rules.
