At least 67 people were detained by law enforcement officers during an anti-drug operation in Turkey. This was reported on June 30 by the newspaper Hurriyet. The operation was carried out in 11 provinces of Turkey, its goal was a criminal organization operating in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Chile, Ecuador and Brazil. Law enforcement officers managed to stop drug trafficking totaling $73 million. As Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu explained during a press conference, this was the largest anti-drug operation in the history of Turkey.
